2012 Team Photoshoot

We wrapped up our team photoshoot for the 2012 season out at Smith Rock this past weekend, and boy was it a blast! I (Shane) must say, being a model is quite fun. I could definitely do it more often!

I must start with a huge thanks to our photographer. For this shoot, we had the privilege of getting to work with Fletcher Jackson, of FJackson Photography. His talent as a photographer is amazing but what really sets him apart is the way he conducts the shoot. We felt like we were playing the whole time yet somehow came away with every shot we needed, plus some extras and were still right on schedule!

This is what Fletcher had to put up with. Us trying to be 'serious'!
Now, about the day! The biggest news of the week was that our awesome new kits arrived on Friday, the day before the shoot. Waiting for new kits is always tough as you put tons of time into the digital design but then have to wait about 8 weeks for the delivery of the actual kits. The anticipation is killer! For us this was especially true, as we had the kits scheduled to be delivered the day before the only weekend we had free (busy guys with our trail building and racing). Thankfully, Andrea @ Primal Wear made sure everything went smoothly and a nice big box of jerseys was delivered to us mid-day Friday.

Jerseys!!!
The morning of the shoot consisted of eating a huge breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles and some amazing berry coffee cake, oogling the new jerseys and having some fun with all nine guys on the team crammed into a very little living room.

Testing out the new kits for their breakfast eating capabilities.
After filling up on the goodness, we headed out to Smith Rock to get the shoot rolling, thankfully no rain fell as the weather had been predicted. The overcast clouds created some great lighting and we got the shoot underway.

Bob being directed by Fletcher to stand on the 'X Marks the Spot'.
From there on out it was tons of fun combined with lots of shutter clicks as Fletcher methodically snapped off picture after picture. It was pretty hilarious the looks we got from the park goers as they began their hike down towards the Crooked River, nine guys in checkered spandex laughing really loud sure draws attention! Here are a couple cool pictures that were taken:

The temperatures were a bit brisk for standing around in spandex,
so nice warm clothing was always on when not in front of the camera.

When you are only getting a head shot,
having your pants at your ankles is totally ok!
After about 4 hours of super efficient shooting, we walked away with tons of great photos and sore cheeks from all the laughing and smiling that went into making those pictures beautiful! Keep an eye out on the team site, lots of the official photos will be utilized there!

Enjoy the trails!
